you will see it is a dynastic vehicle created by Indira Gandhi for the benefit of her son and grandson
you just said there is an energy within the workers…
they are motivated by the prospect of power which means money
this (Congress) is an organisation built on penance (tapasya).
Super-natural powers can be gained through ascesis or tapasya. However, no self-mortification was associated with any member of Indira's Congress. Corruption- yes. Sycophancy- yes. Penance- no though many certainly deserved to go to jail.
If you ask it (the party) to observe penance, its energy increases.
Like members of other parties, Congress workers gain energy if they feel they can win elections. In Himachal, they showed energy whereas the BJP was on the back foot.
The BJP is an organisation of worship (puja).
In India, tapasvins also do puja. The anchorite performs theistic rituals in between bouts of self-mortification.
If you ask the party to take part in worshiping, its energy increases. Worship can be of two kinds.. I am talking about religion… Normally, worshiping means I go to the gods and I ask for something.
No. Worship is not linked to asking for things. Devotion is not dependent on favors bestowed.
The person who is worshiping the god, takes the initiative.
The Brahma Sutra characterizes worship as reciprocal. Rahul thinks worship means going to a powerful being and bribing or flattering him.
The RSS’s idea of worshiping is different.
Quite true. Worship is devotion- more particularly to the country of your birth.
The RSS wants that people are forced to pray to them.
An absurd charge! There are heads of religious sects who want to be worshipped. Some political parties have a personality cult of the leader- e.g. Mayawati, Mamta etc. Congress is dynastic and, thanks to Bharat Jodo, is turning into a cult of the moon-calf who thinks he himself is a Maha-tapasvin worthy of worship.
Modiji wants – and that’s why he doesn’t meet you – that people pray to him forcibly.
In which case he should be meeting the press and beating them till they bow down to him.
And that everyone in the country prays to them.
I suppose Rahul is aware that there was a cult of his Granny- 'Indira is India'- and assumes that Modi must have something similar.
There can be only one response to this, and that response is penance.
JP spent a lot of time roaming around the countryside in the name of 'bhoodan'. I suppose Rahul thinks this was 'tapas' and that's what brought down Granny in 1977. It had nothing to do with forcible sterilization.

JP did tapas and brought down Granny. We need to do tapas and bring down Modi. This means going on a long walk. Eating regularly at a tapas bar- even if you have to fly to Spain to do it- is not enough. Rahul, at 52, is at last on the right track. He will do tapas by walking a lot and this tapasya will defeat Modi worship.
'This is a country of ascetics.
No. It is a country of householders who feed ascetics- provided they are not too numerous- so as to gain religious merit.
The way some people say, ‘see Rahul Gandhi has walked so many kilometres’. Why don’t they talk about farmers?
Because farmers do farming though, like other people, they also walk and talk and fart occasionally. Congress has spent a lot of money on Rahul's walkabout. They are constantly complaining that the Media isn't giving this stunt enough coverage.
There is not a single farmer or labourer in this country who has walked less than me.
There is not a single farmer or laborer who walks from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. This is because their families would starve if they did.
Why don’t we talk about them?
Because they aren't being projected as India's next Prime Minister.
Because we don’t have respect for penance. I respect it.
Penance involves giving up worldly engagement or employment. If Rahul gives up politics and goes to meditate in a cave, some would begin to respect him.
This is the change we want to bring.
The change Rahul has already brought was to make Congress unelectable at the Center.
This country is of ascetics and not of worshipers.
No. It is a country where the ascetics are worshipers.
This is the reality of this country. And if this country wants to become a superpower, then we will have to respect the ascetics, the producers.
India respected ascetics and became a colony. The sad fact is 'producers' were better off under Pax Brittanica save where they were oppressed by landlords and usurers and shyster lawyers- i.e. the sort of people who set up Congress and enriched their descendants through it.
We will have to meet them, we will have to open the doors of banks to them and protect them.”
No. India will have to scrap stupid laws and reform its judiciary in order to rise out of a low to middle income trap. Giving and then waiving loans won't help. Still, out of all India's non performing assets we have to admit that Rahul is the most egregious.
